ABOUT ME

My approach to coaching is practical, sensitive and down to earth, but challenging when I believe it is necessary to move you forward. I am committed to your success and I get a huge sense of satisfaction when my clients achieve their goals.

Changing your life can be a very serious and daunting business but I will keep what can be a tough process for you as enjoyable as possible! I will work hard to build a relationship of trust and empathy with you but I won't shy away from asking you those awkward questions that you have been avoiding if I believe that they will help you to achieve your goals. You may well find that the coaching is very challenging as you are tackling issues that are important and difficult for you (you wouldn't need a coach if it was easy!) but, trust me, the rewards really are worth it. You will end up feeling in complete control of your life!

I graduated in Law and then went on to a career in Human Resources, mostly in the retail industry, for about 16 years. I have recruited all levels of staff; designed and delivered training courses and personal development programmes; and I have dealt with all aspects of employment law. My whole working career has been involved with all aspects of managing and working with people and this invaluable experience underpins my work as a life coach.

Experiences in my personal life also support my understanding of people and life in general. I have changed jobs several times to enhance my career and I have been made redundant, so I know what that feels like! I have experienced late motherhood (at 39); I have moved home several times and renovated a house! I have also retrained and started up a business.

I left work in 1999 when my daughter arrived and I decided to be a full time mum until she was settled in school. It was then that I qualified as a life coach by successfully completing the Diploma in Life Coaching with Newcastle College, a course run in association with the acclaimed life coach Fiona Harrold. I have been committed to life coaching ever since.
